The code for Dotty is beginning to take form. There is still a lot of work to do. The PCB has some errors that need to be solved. But that didn’t keep me from starting on the code with the first prototype. I started documenting a few.
Well this week the Dotty prototype boards where in the mailbox. I was quite happy to see the boards, at first glance it all look fine. But will the boards fit together, did I make any mistakes. Let’s start soldering.
I’m waiting for the Dotty boards to arrive. Meanwhile I ordered some other boards and these came in quite fast. Haraldswerk.de has some great modules online. You can download gerbers and information on his site.
After building the NanoGrids I was still looking for a nice drum trigger sequencer. I want to have a bit more control over the drum’s then the Grids is giving. And stuck in my room with Covid I started designing something. There are a few modules out there that you can buy/build. Some really nice one’s also.
Lately I’ve been get more questions about this module. The github repro has some basic information but not the whole story. Here is the background on the module, some insights and some help to make you build one yourself.
